We are in the middle of the school year and these next few months will fly by!!!
The winners of the fall raffle drive were announced during Barnes and Noble night back in December, which was an excellent event. Our Pre-k and Kindergarten classes enjoyed a holiday themed assembly and our 2nd through 4th grade classes participated in the Earth Dome assembly in January. Look out for pictures on the PTA bulletin board at school!! These programs were made possible by all of your monetary contributions through our membership drive and we are very grateful.
On January 20th, 12 countries, led by parent volunteers, participated in our annual Multicultural Day. All of the students in our school were able to learn about the many cultures that make up our school community, There were crafts, games, children were able to taste treats that were native to these countries and overall our children learned something new about their friends, neighbors and community. It was another great event and it was all made possible by our wonderful parent community.
Our finances are as follows: Our current balance is in the 20,000 range. We are halfway through the school year and are already planning programming for the spring term. There are going to be many end of year events for our students so we ask that you continue to support our fund raising and membership efforts. We plan on bringing back Circus Arts for the lower grades and Hands on Science workshops for the upper grades. We recently funded the Renaissance program which students are already enjoying and we financed the Ela and Math student support materials for the upper grades. If anyone has any questions regarding the budget please come see us or you can email us.
The 5th grade yearbook committee is asking if anyone knows of any businesses that would like to advertise in the yearbook this year please let us know. Additionally, they will be sending forms home if you would like to submit any booster messages in the yearbook.
