Please Donate to support PS221Q PTA
|Welcome to the PTA!
On behalf of the Executive Board of the P.S. 221 PTA, welcome to an unprecedented 2020-2021 school year! We are working hard to help the P.S. 221 community stay strong and connected so our school can continue to be the best learning environment for our children.
“YOU ARE A MEMBER OF THE PTA”
Every parent and/or guardian of a P.S. 221 student is automatically a member of the P.S. 221 PTA. Additionally, teachers and non-supervisory staff at P.S. 221 are automatic members of the PTA. When you hear of the amazing things the PTA does, it is our P.S. 221 community that is responsible.
“WE NEED VOLUNTEERS & DONATIONS!”
All good things require people and money power. The PTA is actively recruiting volunteers and raising funds for the big year ahead of us. We need fresh ideas, funding and the passion for innovation to face the challenges ahead.
Membership Drive & Fundraisers
The PTA hosts a Membership Drive every year. The donations collected from the school community are used to fund PTA sponsored Enrichment Programs for your children and the entire school. The PTA host fundraisers throughout the school year to raised money for specific activities. Many of these events and activities are geared towards building and strengthening our P.S. 221 community. Please support our school by participating in these fundraisers throughout the year.
The PTA is overseen by the Executive Board. We would love to hear from you. Email us suggestions and/or concerns at firstname.lastname@example.org or send us a note through the school office Attention: PTA.
Meeting minutes, details on upcoming events, budget, bylaws, etc. are posted regularly on our website at www.ps221pta.org. Please check back often.
There are two sets of meetings: Executive Board Meetings and General Board Membership Meetings. Meeting dates are posted on: https://www.ps221pta.org/events/
Executive Board Meetings
Everyone is welcome, but voting can only be done by Executive Board members.
General Membership Meetings
We strongly encourage all to attend these regularly. The meetings always provide the latest school information, updates from the principal and staff, community happenings, as well as honoring ‘Student of the Month’. Your input is vital at these meetings – you will be voting on PTA budgets and other key issues. Attending these meetings will help to keep you involved as well as informed on issues relating to your child’s education.
